Amanda McCormick Set to Drive Behavioral Healthcare Access at All Care Health Center
In a move highlighting a commitment to advancing behavioral healthcare, Amanda (Mandy) McCormick, PMH-ARNP, has been promoted to Behavioral Health Director at All Care Health Center. This promotion represents a significant milestone for the community’s behavioral healthcare services. All Care Health Center’s CEO, Joel Dougherty, states, “Mandy focuses on improving both access to care and quality of care while also paying attention to the needs of her team.
In her new role, Mandy will be responsible for all aspects of our behavioral health department and will also be a member of our leadership team guiding the health center as a whole.”
Mandy spent twelve years as a nurse before earning her post-master’s certification in mental health from Nebraska Medicine. During her studies, she interned with All Care Health Center, working with patients from New Visions Homeless Services. This experience solidified her passion for the field, as she felt an immediate connection with the homeless population and All Care’s most vulnerable patients.
After her internship, Mandy joined All Care Health Center as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and later became the Mental Health Supervisor. Her tenure has been marked by an unwavering commitment to enhancing behavioral health services and advocating for patient-centered care. Throughout her career, Mandy has demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities, fostering a supportive environment for her team while prioritizing the holistic well-being of patients. In December 2023, she received the prestigious Arlene Steege Award from the Human Services Advisory Council, recognizing her dedication and commitment to those in need through her employment and community service.
As Behavioral Health Director, Mandy brings a vision focused on expanding access to behavioral health services and integrating innovative treatment approaches. She states, “It takes bravery and vulnerability to reach out and make a therapy appointment when you need help. When we don’t have individual appointments available, it can be very discouraging.” Her strategic initiatives include creating new access avenues, implementing evidence-based practices, and growing her team to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care tailored to their individual needs.
The advancement of Amanda McCormick to Behavioral Health Director reflects All Care’s commitment to providing top-tier behavioral healthcare services. Under her leadership, All Care aims to enhance accessibility to care, ensuring every patient receives the compassionate care they need. Mandy’s journey from Mental Health Supervisor to Behavioral Health Director is not just a career progression but a testament to her dedication and passion for transforming lives through compassionate and effective behavioral healthcare.
