Mobile Healthcare is Available to “Check out” at the Council Bluffs Public Library
All Care Health Center’s mobile medical clinic is starting a new chapter with the Council Bluffs Public Library, where the mobile clinic will be available each Wednesday this summer. This new location is part of All Care’s ongoing efforts to increase access to affordable healthcare for youth in our community,
Council Bluffs Public Library’s Director, Antonia Krupicka-Smith, is excited to help promote health literacy for the library’s families through weekly healthcare presence. Her excitement is bringing the mobile clinic to the library on summer’s busiest weekdays. The mobile will join special Wednesday morning programming and student lunches to provide needed services for the community.
The mobile medical clinic will be available for walk-in or scheduled appointments each Wednesday from May 29 through August 21, from 9:30am – 4:00pm, excluding Juneteenth when the library is closed. The mobile clinic will be on 4th Street, just east of the library doors. Families can utilize the clinic to take care of well-check appointments, complete sports physicals, manage medications, and care for other primary medical needs, including sick visits. Vaccination appointments must be scheduled in advance. All Care recommends scheduled appointments to ensure that needs can be met on the mobile.
While the clinic is focused on students, everyone is welcome to take advantage of its convenient location.
