Expanding Behavioral Health Services to Increase Patient Access

Increasing access to care is a strategic priority for All Care. This includes increasing access to behavioral health care, where patients often face long wait lists. Among Care’s behavioral health options for patients are psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners (PMHNPs or psychiatric NPs). Psychiatric NPs are similar to psychiatrists. All Care’s Psychiatric NPs are in a position to fill gaps and increase access to patients in our community. Their main goal is to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with behavioral health disorders, including counseling and psychotherapy. Psychiatric NPs assist with crisis management, create treatment plans, and prescribe medication when necessary. All Care currently has three Psychiatric NPs; two have availability to serve new patients.

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Margaret Chipendo, ARPN-FNP/PMHNP-BC, is passionate about whole-person health. She encourages patients to prioritize their mental well-being. She specializes in diagnosing and treating a range of conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, ADHD, memory challenges, and dementia.

Mental Health Provider

Ali Fauble, APRN PMHNP-BC, emphasizes that a mental health diagnosis does not define a person. She works closely with patients to manage depression and anxiety, helping them find a path to improved mental wellness through psychiatry.

Each of these providers has availability to welcome new patients, underscoring All Care’s commitment to accessible, compassionate mental health care for the community. To make an appointment with Margaret or Ali, call (712) 325-1990.
