Meet Kay Stutzman, LMHCt our new mental health therapist.
All Care Health Center is honored to introduce Kay Stutzman, LMHCt to our behavioral health therapist team. Kay brings a strong background in school counseling, crisis intervention, and mental health support, equipping her to meet the diverse needs of our patients and the community, especially adolescents.
Kay comes to All Care from West Point Public Schools, where she served as a Middle School Counselor from August 2020 to May 2024. She provided individual and group counseling to address academic, behavioral, social, and career concerns there. She also took on leadership roles in the crisis response, mental health, and MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) teams, helping students navigate challenges through short-term, solution-focused therapy. Additionally, her experience includes collecting and analyzing student data, coordinating schedules, and following protocols for student crises.
Kay has also gained valuable experience as a Care Coordinator with Lutheran Services of Iowa and a Graduate Assistant at Wayne State College. She completed a practicum and internship at West Point Public Schools and further expanded her expertise through an internship with Franciscan Health Care.
Kay’s postsecondary education began at Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in Child, Adult, and Family Services, then was elevated with two Master of Education degrees: PK-8 School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling, both from Wayne State College. Her relevant training includes Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Psychological First Aid, and CPR certification, among others. These specialized skills, along with her background in counselor supervision and mental health boot camp training, make her a compassionate and skilled addition to our growing behavioral health team. Kay Stutzman, LMHC-T, is practicing under the supervision of Nathan Howland, LISW, LICSW, BCD. Kay is welcoming new patients of any age but specializes in adolescents and children aged three and up.
